Sometimes we learn to hate our differences over time because we actually want to be the same and cannot. We misguide ourselves and each other to look for same-ness to validate ourselves - to look good, to fit in or to belong. We tend to forget that our differences and unique characteristics are what allow us to see how beautiful we all are.
Likewise, we probably all have at least one personal experience that shows us that our natural state is to want to be more like each other. In my personal
experience and humble opinion, we're inherently born seeing the beauty, magnificence and greatness in each other. Ironically, then we tend to forget because the desire to be similar is distorted into the fears, reactions and tantrums about our differences. Thank you for the opportunity to look and remember! ♥

I partially agree that we are all beautiful in our own way; and, I fully agree that we all have the potential. I believe that we are all born with having a unique set of great talents and skills to develop. However, not everyone develops them for the purpose of good potential and usefulness. There are those who manipulate their unique talents, skills and abilities, for evil and deliberate destructive use. By no means do I include them into having the natural state to want to be more like each other or willing to see any beauty, magnificence, or greatness in others. Those people seek the weakness and frailty in others to use for self-seeking purposes. It would be an ideal world if we all developed our unique talents and abilities toward beauty, magnificence, and greatness... and were able to see the greatness in others, including the differences in their approaches and utilization. Unfortunately, that is not always the case because some people misuse and abuse that power and only seek the weaknesses of others. As far as the rest of us go, the ones who use their unique talents and abilities toward building on beauty, greatness, and magnificence... I agree that the more secure one is with himself or herself, the more likely he or she appreciates the unique talents and gifts of others around them.
