Being Spiritual: A Perspective

10/17/2017

Hi Folks!

Here's a perspective for kicks and giggles, in response to the attached quote from Share Inspire Quotes...

Embracing and celebrating the human experience is certainly a part of being aware or being tuned in to our spiritual nature.

As we say, "We are spiritual beings having a physical experience". That doesn't mean that we are temporarily in a physical state. It means that we're always "spiritual" beings and that we are experiencing/perceiving something that we call "physical" while remaining as the substance of "spirit".

The more resistant we are to any aspect of us, the more unconscious we will be to our spiritual being-ness.

Imagine that a 100% awareness of our "spirituality" has us realize that we can say fuck you and it doesn't matter. So, fuck you! Or, we could just see a movie. I'm game for anything, as long as it doesn't involve pain. Oh, and I like holding hands and stuff. Thanks.

Therefore, being spiritual is unavoidable. It's what we are, no matter how we direct our energy or what endeavors and/or ways of being we pursue, "good", "bad", or "indifferent".
Picture
All the conditions, categories, levels of awareness, etc. of what some of us have defined as being "spiritual" are human-centrically contrived, made up, not true.... just the ego in high gear; not that there's anything wrong with that.

It's all a part of the "human experience".

Universal Phenomena - Sometimes We Mock And Ridicule What We Don't Understand

11/11/2015

Sometimes we mock what we don't understand because it's scary or because it's so contrary to what we've grown to believe our whole lives. It's called cognitive dissonance. ~ Joe Simmons

The meme is taken out of context and the idea/belief is mis-stated. Sometimes we mock what we don't understand because it's scary or because it's so contrary to what we've grown to believe our whole lives. It's called cognitive dissonance.

It took us over 200 years to believe the Earth was round. We mocked, ridiculed, imprisoned, black listed and committed to psychiatric hospitals those who believed and professed that the Earth was round -- all that over the opinion of the shape of a thing... "Opinion" emphasized. The point is that it was a change in belief that we humans eventually adopted in our rapportuer or arsenal of acquired common sense.

Up next... all "things" are compositions and conglomerates of energy vibration. Anything that we "see" or experience in any way is merely a way we perceive the energy vibrations and their movement. Therefore, the experiences are illusions, merely ways we perceive. Then we add meaning to it all.

Imagine, we are that energy vibration.

Whatever energy vibration is present and entertained will expand, e.g. this is how like energy "attracts" like energy. It's an expansion. The contexts and meanings are human-centrically derived/conjured, a.k.a.  made up, "just because".

Additionally, there's no separation in the energy flow, only changes or reformations in the flow's movement, like moving from one climate to another, which leads to the most fun part...

The separations are illusions while we are all organically One dynamic ongoing expanding and transforming being, including all the parts of us, even the trees and the rocks.

Go To War To Fight For Peace. Really? LMAO

11/3/2015

Why is this the case? Because republicans believe in war. War = Money. The goal therefore is money, not peace....
Then else would they place the needs of these soldiers as a high priority? Helping these beautiful souls would take away from their profit.
Yes, that is the truth, sadly. Let this be a wake up call to humanity.... Be aware of what you're voting for... ~Jean S., Florida USA
Nothing's changed since the first war. It's always been about the money. What does that tell us, in general? Moreover, what does that tell us about choosing to participate? Today, we're more able to see that our sentimentality has been hijacked to believe the hype, propaganda, etc. about protecting the American way of life and peace and all that. Eventually, we'll look back and say, "Damn, we actually believed that bullshit even when the words within the statements were obviously contradictory," e.g. go to war to have peace, fight for peace, etc. My father always said, "When emotion is present, logical thinking is absent." Hello, true statement. Thank you.

Today, we're beginning to see that justifications for war and violence are insane. Some might say, "Yeah, but sometimes you have to fight to keep the threats at bay." We're beginning to realize that the idea of keeping the threats at bay is the same as saying the peace is fake and temporary. We're beginning to get that what goes around eventually comes around one way or another. We're beginning to realize that this is an unavoidable metaphysical law of the Universe.

Would it make sense to operate consistently with this little Universal Law that we've discovered is unavoidable?

The opportunity is to ask ourselves, "What is true peace?" and "How do we attain it?" We've heard the answer a million times and we declare it, share it, proclaim it, and make memes about it and all that stuff... "Be the change you want to see in the world."

Eventually, the following parlance will be the common sense of the people, basic as chocolate and vanilla... "It starts with me, and 'all the me's of us', in my chair, and in all the 'my chairs'."

We are experiencing some cognitive dissonance; however, today we're choosing to "be" what we want in the world more often. Until we get that it's the only way, we'll still participate in the insanity. That's true insanity, not figurative... Until we get that, we will be operating insanely, like dummies, true stupids, unconsciously... not that there's anything wrong with that. Just thinking aloud.

Violence: A Hazard of Identification and Labels

10/14/2015

"As a member of the human race, & one that follows no religion. I would like to try to understand how life was for my ancestor's. So that having been said I do not believe it is a violent act to say that I am or my family is a certain nationality." ~ Ed F.

Thanks Ed! It's only "violent" when we use our uniqueness to separate us rather than to enjoy and celebrate us, as in to create boundaries. For example, to exclude, isolate, compete against for survival, or to use as a justification to harm another, etc.

While present to our Oneness, we realize that we're affected and dependent upon the wellness of each other just as the human body microcosm is dependent upon the various body parts/organs to be well.

This isn't about religion. This is about acknowledging and validating the metaphysical aspects of us. Here, metaphysical phenomena occurs parallel and intermingled with the physical, but not apparent to traditional human and simple tools of observation, e.g. at one point gravity was considered to be metaphysical. It's become so commonplace by our ability to scientifically observe and measure the surrounding influencing physical properties and symptoms/evidence of gravity. Gravity is no longer socially categorized as metaphysical, yet it is still an invisible and metaphysical force.

Spirituality and religion are not the same. A religion is a set of routinely followed actions or a regime of practices used to help an individual or group to focus on a set of spiritual beliefs. For example, to do something "religiously" is to do it regularly or routinely with faith that the practice or routine activity is consistent with and will manifest the desired outcomes that are consistent with the belief.

Meanwhile, spirituality is presence to being, recognizing and realizing, first hand, that the substance of us exists or occurs beyond the physical life experience in which we engage "knowingly" or can observe with our human senses, e.g. sight, smell, taste, touch and hearing. Today, more metaphysical and quantum physical/mechanical phenomena are becoming observable and measurable, to a point where to ignore  them and our related spiritual aspects is insane by cognitive dissonance.

Overall, regarding "violence", the labels are suspicious where they leave us prone to a susceptibility to a violent disposition when we are not conscious or not ready to recognize, embrace and celebrate that our differences reveal and allow us to realize our magnificence and beauty.

Thanks for the opportunity to explore.

Preconceived Notions - Pants Below the Butt

8/1/2015

During the November 1, 2011 Transformation Conversation, Joe Simmons and guests looked at our reactions about people wearing their pants below the butt, and considered whether our preconceived notions rob us of opportunities to see objectively, which could inhibit our ability to find more opportunities for fulfillment and happiness. This blog is a summary and lessons learned from that conversation. ~Joe Simmons
Pick up your pants!
Preconceived Notions
Actually, there is an explanation for this. The issue of wearing the pants below the butt is dynamic. There is the choice to do it, and there are the reactions to seeing it done. Since we cannot control what others do, we can look at our reaction to seeing it done.

First, if we look closely, we will notice that the people in these pics are covered from the waste down. Two of the gents in the photo are fully clothed.

The problem is our relationship to the labels we put on clothing, and our relationship to the contexts of those labels. In this case, we have a label called "underwear" and the meanings and connotations that we attach to the term underwear. Additionally, we have opinions about
appropriate locations for clothing features.

I saw this very clearly while at work a couple of weeks ago. A client was wearing his pants down below his butt, and he walked like a duck. I thought to myself, “This guy is a complete idiot.” Then, I looked more closely. “Hmm…,” I thought, “That’s not underwear. Those are sports pants… like basketball shorts… the mesh kind.” To confirm, I asked the client about it. The client confirmed, “Yeah, they’re basketball shorts.” I thanked him and he waddled away like a duck.

We have opinions about the composition and/or style of clothing that is appropriate to cover the body. We are accustomed to a look that includes attaching the top of the pants at or above the waste. We are talking about the location of a particular feature of a particular article of clothing, which is one piece of the composition/design of attire that clothes or covers the body.

Is it underwear or is it a bathing suit, or is it shorts, etc.? What difference does it make? My waddling client friend was fully clothed. Notwithstanding the labels and the connotations/expectations/meanings that I attach to them, I saw very clearly that I was the idiot.

Of course, the consequences of the design choice are another and separate dynamic of the pants-below-the-butt style.

Divine Orchestration - A Perspective

7/30/2015

"Actually all seeming errors are the result of thoughts ABOUT Ideas--Gods Ideas which are expressed as Creation. You can have thoughts about ideas but you cannot have ideas about thoughts. It's those pesky thoughts that got us into this mess we made up called 'the world'" ~ Trisha Darrenger

We might call the world a mess when we don't understand it. I entertain that we divinely orchestrate it all, which is a fancy way of saying everything's just flowing to balance the same way water flows to level when spilled. It's natural. Our being conscious about it isn't required. I suspect we desire to be unconscious where we are, for the experiences that are available in believing in and engaging with the illusions as if they're true. We like the way the water looks and feels splashing off the rocks and banks in the flow. It's beautiful and refreshing. We like it, albeit possibly unconsciously or at a "higher" (it's just different, another magnificent aspect of us) level of consciousness that we don't recognize. We want it all in order to feel the richness and spiciness of this experience we call life. Just thinking out loud. Thanks for the opportunity to look and remember.

Addiction: A Perspective

7/6/2015

Michelle Ellerd
"This article explains addiction and shines a very important factor lying to and away from addiction. That is obtaining a healthy social structure. We recognize it as a support circle or revaluation of what we choose to be in our surroundings. We need to be social, yes, but we need to know what 'home' is to our selves. 'Home' is a place that reflects all good traits of yourself, reminds you of who you are, and reminds you of all of your potential. HOME drives you places you thought you'd never go independently.' Home for me is the nursing field and the horses. These two places give me simple silent reminders of my essence in its purity. Validation is found here. Extraordinary." ~ Michelle Ellerd

This article presents evidence of a cause for addiction that isn't typically validated as being fundamental where we tend to focus on the symptoms of addictions, such as drug abuse and other addictive, compulsive and repetitive behaviors such as are associated with gambling, nail biting, hair twirling, eating, sex, and a slew of other creative expressions rather than focus on a cure.

Metaphysically, it appears that we're inclined to become attracted or attached to whatever gives us immediate gratification when we are subject to limited opportunities to engage with each other and/or with our inherent passions. This precept is rooted in the premise that energy vibration is flowing to achieve balance or wholeness, similar to how water flows to balance when spilled.

I believe that fulfillment, gratification, joy, love, etc. are found in the engagements between us. In a manner of speaking, we're the conduits of the love that flows. When we tap into it, what we traditionally call "addictions" tend to drop off by default, another spot where love heals. The healing is the allowing of the flow of love through us, rather than being at the effect of a restricted/resisted flow of love that causes dis-ease. Thanks for the opportunity to look and remember.

Rape: An Outcry and Symptom of the Condition of a Human Being

4/9/2015

"...if we just taught young boys that rape isn't an option..." ~ Anna Akana
We are all accountable for our behavior and for the consequences of our actions. This blog post is not about whether a person is responsible for his or her actions. It's about a perspective and approach to prevent people from being inclined to choose rape as an option.

I have never met anyone who told me that they didn't know rape is not legal, that it is not a lawful option. We have pretty much figured out that laws aren't effective at stopping rape. It might be a minor deterrent, and the fact that a deterrent is needed tells us that we're on the wrong track. The opportunity and cure is to address the dis-ease that might trigger a human being to pursue to violate another human being.

Rape is an outcry, a symptom of the condition of a human being.

We all know that rape is not about sex. It's about feeling powerless, as if we don't make a difference, that we are not appreciated, not valued, and not respected. Rape is a tantrum and futile desperate pursuit to feel powerful, accepted, appreciated, loved and respected by force.

The question is, "How do we teach 'young boys' that rape is not an option?" Answer: Love and respect our children, acknowledge and inspire the contributions they make. Demonstrate that they are great and that they make a difference with you and the world.

Love causes love. Love and rape can't happen in the same time and space. When we love our children and each other, we humans are less likely to become rapists and rape each other.

God is in Everything I See - A Perspective on the Nature of God and Love

3/22/2015

There is an "is-ness" that we call God, Love and other labels because of how we perceive it and experience it. We add meaning to it, human-centric perspectives. Meanwhile the is-ness includes a flowing to balance. Flowing water and gas/air moving to equal temperature, volume and pressure are physical microcosms or representative physical manifestations of this. We call spots of balance peace, nirvana and other labels. The movement to balance, such as thoughts, realizations, comparing, etc., causes feelings (conglomerate activity of perceiving the movement of energy vibration to balance) that we call "Love". The experience or access occurs in the movement.

Movement includes anything that triggers a thought, all contrasts, such as sounds, colors, sizes, shapes, textures, emotions, thoughts and anything else that is variable that we are able to perceive in any way.

This is by design because on a higher conscious level, we know that we cannot experience a thing unless we compare it to something else. We require contrast (those things that are not the thing that we perceive) in order to see any thing. This is what we want. We desire to "feel" the life, a.k.a. Love. This is the nature and playing field of what we call the physical domain. Hence, we collectively intend it into being.

Being Humane

3/18/2015

"Humane" is certainly the appropriate word to use. It represents a predisposition to favor survival of human beings and creatures that are similar to human beings, that which we can relate, e.g. having a human-centric perspective and therefore able to have compassion for beings that appear to have similar features and characteristics as humans, such as perceived emotions and sentiments. I guess that's okay. Why not?

However, the opportunity is to recognize that our inability to see, relate to or have compassion for beings that are dissimilar from human beings is a space of unconsciousness. Imagine a predisposition to have similar compassion and gratitude for plant-life, bugs, etc. and even inanimate objects, which are all vibrant conscious beings. Thank you for the opportunity to look and remember.
