This pic was taken at my Grandmother's 90th Birthday, January 2007
(5 years ago). I was wearing the same shirt and tie as I am wearing today, January 16, 2012, the day she "died". See pic on the right. How about this... I did an overnight shift at work and was tired. Afterwards, I did some food shopping and got into the car to head home. Suddenly, I felt exhausted, like POW! I had to sleep in the parking lot. I woke up at 2:13pm. Later, my cousin Muffie told me that Grandma died at exactly that time! Coincidences? Hello Grandma! Body not required. |
I knew that I felt differently.
I didn't know what it was or why. The smile was inside, deep and wide. It's obvious if you look at my face, the left side. Grandma was celebrating, expanding, reaching out. Later this day, The body of my grandmother, Daisy Simmons, died. She’d been coming to me all day before and after, I could feel it, a silent laughter. The power was kindling. The significance was dwindling. We told ourselves that struggle is real, We said we needed to steal. We said we’re separate and had to survive. We said we had to fight and condemn each other to stay alive. We lied. |
"hey hey last night I couldn't fall asleep because I had words going through my head so I wrote them down and they turned out to be a poem for you and your grandmother ."
*** From the space within my hand to the space beyond the earth lie infinite infinities... spinning, dancing in an out, not there to entertain us but there to flow us through all that we experience, everything we do. Time is an illusion for every end is a beginning; there is no end just infinities spinning within and throughout... We are love We are life We are infinity! |
